Feel You

the maimed, the cursed,
and the highly educated.
Its like listening to Tool on a weekday,
right before the sun drops below the mountains,
when you're all alone.
Its the moment when you discover a journal not your own,
and begin a downward pondering about its contents.
Its climbing when you think your lungs may collapse and your fingers crack,
but you push -
something pushes,
further,
faster.
Its the striving of the eternally doomed,
the ones who can do nothing but learn,
learn by teaching,
dieing when the absorption is done.
Its a sensory deprivation chamber all your own that makes you scream,
with perceptions created totally by your own mind,
your hair fanning out above you.
Its like resting long enough to write for a few moments,
in the silence,
waiting for the next imagination to come in the door,
sit next to you,
feel you.
