Broken

Filed in: pleasure, pain, tears, memories, losscurled in a ball
whimpering softly in her sleep
she lies
impish grin forgotten
her pain fresh, welted
her heart harshly crushed
where is that spirit now
the wildness that danced rampant
gone.. gone with the pride
broken
on the the floor at his feet
lost and alone
silent tears slip down red cheeks
her body trembles slightly
as she slips into restless sleep
not stirring
at his whispered words
nor tender kiss
awakening alone
heart bruised
pain strong in memory
folding blankets neatly
slipping through the door
closing it with soft finality
